The Dementia Education Campus for Hospice of the Valley is located in Phoenix, Arizona and provides patients and visitors a large garden courtyard to enjoy the Arizona climate.  This facility is located above the underground parking structure and the main courtyard is programmed with multiple seating spaces and various sensory elements to evoke memories and offer tactile stimulation throughout the garden. The courtyard is connected to a great lawn concept that organizes the layout of the facility and produces the smell of cut grass as one of the sensory elements for patients and visitors alike.
